The author of one of the best spiritual books, Michael Franklin Varro, Jr., has led a multifaceted life as a retired Methodist pastor, prison and hospice chaplain, missionary, teacher, counselor, and musician. His book’s focus revolves around the life lessons and stories from his father’s childhood home in a boxcar in Regina, Saskatchewan, making it one of the best spiritual books that every reader must have on their bookshelves.
He went on to become a music teacher, working in several places and at different levels. He completed his studies at Morrison Academy in Taiwan and Seattle Pacific University, where he also got married to Margo Moore, who became his wife for 56 years.
After founding Varro Counseling, he spent the next twenty-two years working in prison ministries, retreats, freelance music, and pastoral counseling. He worked as an ordained preacher in a number of faiths along the way, eventually joining the Global Methodist Church.
