The world can be an unforgiving place, but the people I love and have loved have made it worth living.

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the whole world at the cost of his own soul? Matthew 16:26. I am not overly religious yet, I firmly believe in the verse.

I am complex yet, simple; I am weak yet, I am strong; I am loving, but I have the capacity for hate; I have broken the law, but I am not a criminal; I am set in my ways, but I can be swayed; I am educated, though I remain naive; I have lost what I believed to be my world, but the wealth of joy offered by friends and family acts to rebuild it; I have no children yet, I have experienced the joy of fatherhood; I have loved and I have lost; I feel pain yet, often I refuse to show it. I am me.
