Home / Book Reviews / Laptop from Hell By Miranda Devine
Addlebrained Hunter Biden abandons his waterlogged Mac at a repair shop in Delaware just six days before his father's candidacy for the US presidential election was announced. Our male protagonist and his entire sage regarding the abandoned laptop were an absolute treasure trove of information, meticulously researched and verified by Miranda Devine. The numerous emails, photos, and texts are circumstantial proof of how he tried to use the Biden name to curry favor and large sums of money from foreign businessmen.
This book clearly reveals how particular clandestine deals make certain nations richer whilst creating world-class moguls out of certain families. The format and the progression of the story authored by the characters who text, email, and record one another on the Laptop from Hell was something that’ll leave the reader reminiscing while weighing whether the truths of what we’re shown really is true. Devine offers documented histories of our leads, that mesh with their behavioral choices perfectly, bringing human consideration to light in the global stage where pressure persists to produce and provide for powerful people or suffer grave consequences. Humongous sums of money and the filthy waste that follows it, occupy much of this story's revelations. The book appears to be well researched through solid resources like the public records, and bills of sale, therefore not appearing politically vague.
Temperately, it confirms that politics is a dirty business with no rules. It exposes sweetheart deals, high-paying government gigs, no-show jobs and appears to convincingly reveal the truth behind the long-time allegations of the Biden family's international influence peddling. It tells about how Joe Biden was always aware of these dealings and was ” the big guy” Hunter constantly refers to in the book. The author has done an incredible job of sifting through a voluminous amount of information to present this story of corruption and deceit. Devine does describe some of the lewd photos she discovered, but personally, I felt this was unnecessary as publicly available images of the family would have enhanced the story.
Though the tragedy of an only surviving son’s drug addiction and collapse helplessly into an abject drug-induced sinful living time and time again as his grieving and the loving father tries to cover for him and help him recover is saddening, but it can't erase the evil that permeates the family and its powerful friends and allies.
Finally, the media cover-up during the last few days before the 2020 general election of the breaking story on the laptop constitutes even worse corruption than that recorded upon it. Overall, a very different read and had the full story been disclosed prior to the election, it may have had a different impact. Devine has produced a masterpiece.
