The Discover MyPlate Emergent Reader Series has been developed by Team Nutrition, an initiative of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service. This series includes a total of six (6) companion enhanced eBooks devoted to MyPlate’s five food groups—Dairy, Fruits, Grains, Protein, and Vegetables. Each release within this series has been designed to build literacy skills and educate young children about food choices and healthy eating through the stories and interactive activities.
